SUSAN JOHNSON RETROSPECTIVE

September 4-October 17, 2020 Live in the the Gallery

The Arts Center is proud to present "Retrospective: Susan Johnson" opening Friday, September 4. Susan is an icon of the Corvallis creative community. This exhibit shows the breadth of her career as she developed several creative bodies of work. In addition to this extensive collection Susan was a teacher, an arts leader, and served as the Executive Director of The Arts Center for 8 years. Life-long advocate for the arts, Susan Johnson, will be celebrated at a virtual reception, Art Talk and at Art for the Heart.

NOTE: Susan is generously donating proceeds from artwork sales during this show to The Arts Center. THANK you Susan!

Arts Alive 2020 - Amazing!

All 31 participating artists did a fantastic job, and 150+participants partook in this year's Virtual Event! It was an amazing transition from a live on the plaza to on-line. Artists learned how to present themselves and their work in a virtual environment. Participants from as far away as Melbourne, Australia, engaged with artists, and many created works of their own using various art project kits. You can still participate with the artists of Arts Alive 2020 here >> (Pictured at right, JD Donahue.)

Please send your reflections on this year's Virtual Event to claire@theartscenter.net.
