Description

GLOBETROTTER SUMMER CAMP - EMPIRES ALONG THE NILE - JULY 25 - 29, 9 A.M. TO 5 P.M.

Suggested for those enterning classes 1 through 8.

Write like an Egyptian!

But that's not all.  Upriver from the pyramids were more kingdoms that left their temples and sculptures such as the Kingdom of Kush in Nubia:

And Axum in modern Ethiopia:

We will visit these ancient lands through writing, story telling, painting, sculpture and construction.  Walk, talk, paint, write like an Egyptian or a Nubian or an Axumite all the exciting week long!

This Globetrotter Summer Camp goes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., from July 25 through 29 at The Arts Center basement classrooms (700 SW Madison) and outside.  Campers can be dropped off as early as 8:30 a.m. The art activities often involve messy materials and the campers should dress accordingly.  In addition, recesses will be taken outside.  The campers should bring lunch and a water bottle but snacks will be provided.
