Description

GLOBETROTTER ALL DAY CAMP:  JULY 18 - JULY 22, 9 A.M. TO 5 P.M.

Suggested for those entering classes 2 through 8.

Materials for making great art are all around us.  They don't have to come inside a box.  They can come off a bush like these berries ready to be turned into ink:

We'll spend the week creating all kinds of art projects from natural and recycled materials.  We'll make our own colors as good as these:

We'll make finished works all from items that are all around us everyday.

We'll turn the everyday into the spectacular and have a great deal of fun doing it.

The camp goes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., from July 18 through July 22. at The Arts Center (700 SW Madison in downtown Corvallis) basement classrooms and outside The Arts Center.  Campers can be dropped off as early as 8:30 a.m..  Snacks will be provided but the campers should bring their own lunches and water bottles.  We will be working with colors and pigments and messy materials so the campers should dress accordingly.  In addition, we will be outside on collecting forays and during recesses.

The cost of the camp is $225 for the week provided the camper is registered on or before July 8.  Thereafter, the cost is $245 for the week.  Registration is through The Arts Center website (www.theartscenter.net).  There is some scholarship money available for qualified families.

Members will receive 10% discount using log-in to register online.
